Survivor – High Visibility Tarp

I have taken this 10x10 tarp out several times over the past 2 years. I prefer sleeping under a tarp to sleeping in a tent most of the time, and while I generally prefer ultralight backpacking gear, this is a piece of equipment that is worth the extra weight to me in most situations. Great as a solo shelter, great as a camp kitchen for a group, and I fully expect it to last forever. It ain't stealthy...The gaudy orange color is absolutely MEGA. Bonus points for the reflective trim, which makes it look like a spaceship when you shine your light on it at night. l may get a guide tarp if I ever want a lighter, camo version. Anyway, I love this thing. It is exactly what I wanted it to be and exactly what was advertised. It is not ultralight, or ultra compact, so it does have some limitations, but the quality exceeded my expectations.

Update to 5 stars! After more time utilizing our tarp, I've updated the review. Fantastic material, very durable! ... Our waterproof 10x10 tarp was delivered so quickly after ordered - we couldn't believe it! It's lightweight, and easy to pack-up and carry around with you. This is perfect for us for camping, and for keeping the elements at bay. It's definitely made of a durable material, and the corner ripstop technology is awesome, as pulling tarps taught is needed, but always a concern of whether or not it'll hold up. Wonderful product.

Strong and durable enough to provide to provide shelter from wind and rain, yet light weight enough to take on a backcountry trek. Incredibly tough material. Great for a canoe trip and the unexpected storm.

This is the second tarp I've bought from Aquaquest. I've had my other one for 4 years now and you wouldn't be able to tell it's not new. All tabs are still well secured, can last in any rain storm, without getting wet. Love, love, love their gear. You might have to pay it bit more, but it's well worth the extra bit as I they last forever. I'm happy to have a little bigger tarp now for my needs and I know my smaller one will come in handy for kitchen shelter.
