Defender – Heavy Duty Tarp Shelter

I love these tarps. I appreciate the choice and the selection of heavier to lighter duty. Different applications for each. I will take a lightweight version if I am hiking and carrying a backpack. But also, we do lots of boat camping in the summer too and use these tarps often. Defenders, Safaris and Guides- we love them all! Quick and easy to set up. Love the lines of loops down the centre for quick 'A frame' set up. Love the high quality material these tarps are made of. So different than those classic (kinda crappy) tarps I grew up with that would inevitably disintegrate, and those little woven strands and pieces come apart. AQ tarps stand the test of time!!! An amazing gift for anyone who enjoys the outdoors; and an amazing quality product if that person is you! Money well spent.

Used for setting up a shelter by the fire both as a wind break and to protect from snow falling from tree limbs above. Despite the minus 10 degree weather, the tarp performed admirably. Get some msr groundhog stakes as the supplied stakes, while possibly adequate in soft to medium soils, are worthless in frozen ground. Did not deduct any stars for the stakes as the review is really about the tarp which is great and well worth the money.

It is heavy duty,it should last me a long time

This tarp is amazing. My grandkids went into the woods to build a fort and used two of these for the roof. These tarps are very durable and dry instantly.It was wonderful to see the kids connect with nature. Thanks for great products.
